Embassy Suites Hotel Arcadia-Pasadena Area

We asked for a non-smoking room and we got a smoking room that smelled awful! It was a combination of cigarette smoke and room spray, very overwhelming, to say the least. I asked to be moved and was told that it was a non-smoking room and they would send in a humidifier which they did but it didn't do anything. Typical Embassy Suites. Nice rooms with a separate parlor. Parlor had refrigerator and microwave, as well as TV (old style CRT TV). Breakfasts were excellent. Staff was friendly, helpful, competent. Happy hour was enjoyable - 6 drinks! ...read more

This particular Embassy Suites Hotel is the best one of the chain that we've ever stayed in. The front desk clerk was wonderful, and our room was like a 4 star hotel.

Little to recommend except for breakfast & afternoon drinks. Needs a complete renovation.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, great food and great fun. Good. Very kid friendly - the koy fish pond fascinated my granddaughter.

First night very loud from about 8-12 doors being slammed over and over again on upper floors people below us smoking on balcony and it came in our room, floor below is non smoking. Was not told that we were getting a handicapped room. Did not like the bath room configuration, bed was very hard and hurt our backs, fold out bed was broken. Pool rules not enforced by staff many under age kids with no supervision in both pool and spa, if you go on a Saturday night, forget the pool it was like being in there with a bunch of apes, we had to leave. ...read more

Comfortable & clean; rooms open to central atrium. If you're in the sitting area of your room, you hear what's going on in the atrium which includes the big screen TV that's in the reception area and it was blaring at 4 am. ...read more

Ricky, Elizabeth and the two (Rubenesque) women at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Lower quality hotel than expected and the breakfast was of poor quality and poorly managed. The room floor plan was of poor design (the bathroom should be BETWEEN the two sleeping areas for independent access by either). This hotel should NOT be rated higher than a two (2) star.
